4422. Hazel Park, Mich. Nov. 20. 58-year-old man fatally struck by a dark-colored, 1994-1996 four-door GMC Sierra, 1500 or 3500 series, which fled the scene.
4423. Amarillo, Texas. Nov. 21. 10-year-old boy suffers non-life-threatening injuries when struck by a white SUV which fled the scene.

A $2,500 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for a hit and run accident that led to the death of a Philadelphia woman.
The Citizens Crime Commission and the Cheltenham Township Police Department announced the reward Nov. 19, posted by AAA Mid-Atlantic, seeking the public’s assistance for any information on the driver and or the car that left the scene of what now is a fatal hit and run.
The accident occurred around 8:38 p.m. Oct. 27 when Judy Paul, 55, of the 6200 block of North 15th Street, was crossing the 8200 block of Ogontz Avenue with her family to catch a bus at the SEPTA bus loop.

A Cheyenne woman accused of fleeing the scene after hitting a CSU student on his bicycle earlier this month later confessed to two friends, police say.
Fort Collins police also recovered Amanda Mae Miller’s white Infiniti sedan with damage consistent with the collision, according to her arrest documents.
Miller, 31, was arrested Friday, more than a week after the Nov. 6 crash, in which Colorado State University student Michael Alexander Patterson, 21, suffered serious injuries, according to police. Patterson’s father, Bill Patterson, said Tuesday that his son is recovering from a skull fracture and blood clot, and they hope he’ll return to school next semester.
“His progress is pretty remarkable, considering the injuries,” said Bill Patterson of Colorado Springs.

ROCK HILL, S.C. — Family members said it was a miracle Josh Reynolds of Rock Hill lived to see his 23rd birthday.
Reynolds suffered a brain injury, collapsed lung and broken bones after a hit-and-run driver slammed into his motorcycle on May 8. The crash happened at Celanese and Mount Gallant roads in Rock Hill about 9 p.m.
On Tuesday, 25-year-old Jeremy Mobley was sent to prison for 10 years for the hit-and-run crash. That’s double the recommended sentence that both the prosecutor and defense had agreed to.
“I’m sorry. I wish I could take it all back. I made a bad decision,” Mobley said before his sentence was handed down.

Hit-and-run suspect Megan Panowicz will not be allowed to use expert witnesses to support the insanity defense she plans to implement at her trial, a judge ruled Tuesday.
In August, attorneys for Panowicz said she plans to claim post-traumatic stress disorder clouded her judgment of “right and wrong” following a fatal vehicle crash in Kingston in August 2008.
Kingston police say Panowicz, 27, of Forty Fort, was the first of three drivers to hit and run over 32-year-old Kingston resident Sharon Shaughnessy as she tried to cross Wyoming Avenue. Panowicz then fled, police allege.

MIDDLEBORO — Police arrested a UMass-Dartmouth student on Wednesday in the Oct. 11 hit and run crash that killed bicyclist Michael Dutra, a 58-year-old father of two from Middleboro.
Eric Megna, 18, of 59 Chadderton Way, Middleboro, was arrested in connection with a fatal hit and run in Middleboro, police said.
According to a news release from Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy Cruz, Megna, a student at UMass-Dartmouth, struck Dutra on Wood Street. Rather than stopping to help him, he fled to New Hampshire, where his family owns a vacation home, the release stated.

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Springfield police say they have made an arrest in Sunday’s fatal hit and run accident near the Missouri State University campus.
Zachary S. Gibson, 23, was hit by a car as he bicycled across Kimbrough at Bear Blvd about 6:45 Sunday evening. Witnesses told police the white colored car drove off after hitting Gibson, who died from his injuries.
Police got a tip and found the car Monday in Springfield.

BOYLE HEIGHTS (CBSLA.com) — City and county officials Wednesday were each offering $50,000 rewards for anyone with information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for killing a probation officer on his motorcycle during a hit-and-run.
Kenneth Hamilton, 54, was leaving his job at the Eastlake Juvenile Facility around 6 a.m. on Oct. 28 when he was hit at the intersection of Soto Street and Lancaster Avenue in Boyle Heights.
He died instantly, the Los Angeles Police Department said.

A forgotten backpack and a twice-convicted drunken driver played leading roles in a hit-and-run accident that left two Salinas women dead and a young man facing double murder charges.
Francisco Miranda Jr., 23, of Salinas was arrested after his mother persuaded him to return to an intersection Wednesday night where he allegedly ran over a just-released patient and a hospital security guard in front of Natividad Medical Center. Both died within minutes.
The hospital guard, Linda Rascon Williams, 24, had followed the patient out of the hospital emergency room to return a backpack the woman had left behind.
When the woman fell onto the pavement on East Laurel Drive, Williams came to her aid and knelt beside her. That’s when police said a Ford Taurus allegedly driven by Miranda ran over both of them.
