6861-64. East St. Louis, Ill. June 27. Three women and a man injured when intentionally struck by a vehicle which fled the scene; police seeking ID’d driver.
6865. Houston, Texas. July 9. Woman injured when struck by a black car which fled the scene.
6866. Moline, Ill. June 23. 21-year-old man on bicycle injured when struck by an unidentified vehicle which fled the scene.
6867. Hutchinson, Kan. July 9. 17-year-old male on bicycle injured when struck by a blue four-door vehicle which fled the scene.
6868. Reno, Nev. July 10. 15-year-old male on bicycle injured when struck by a white Toyota Tacoma which fled the scene.
6869. Sacramento, Cal. July 8. 8-year-old boy on bicycle injured when struck by a white Toyota Rav4 which fled the scene.
6870. Faribault, Minn. July 9. Pedestrian injured when struck by a black Chevrolet SUV which fled the scene.
6871-72. Angola, NY. July 11. Man and woman riding a tricycle injured when struck by a dark-colored SUV which fled the scene.
6873. Phoenix, Ariz. July 10. 24-year-old woman fatally struck by a truck which fled the scene.
6874. Columbus, Ohio. July 11. Woman fatally struck by two vehicles which fled the scene; driver of one vehicle found shortly thereafter, minivan driver still uncaptured.
6875. Chicago, Ill. July 11. 1-year-old fatally struck by a stolen vehicle which fled the scene.

The viewer said she felt compelled to help after losing her father in a hit-and-run three years ago. Ronnie Mumford, who was attempting to cross the street near Sloan’s Lake Park, was killed on the night of July 27, 2012.

TAMPA — Police have released the name of the officer they say likely ran over a man who was found dead last month in a Tampa street.
Tampa police Chief Eric Ward identified the officer as Jeremy Dabush, 26, who has been with the department since 2012. Dabush is expected to talk to department investigators about the accident soon, Ward said Friday.
Meanwhile, Dabush has been placed on desk duty, standard procedure in a case like this. No charges have been filed in the case, which will be turned over to the Hillsborough State Attorney’s Office.

STAMFORD — Thanks to a strip club patron who whipped out his phone and took a picture of a car’s license plate, police were able to apprehend a West Side man who allegedly struck a pedestrian and drove from the scene of the collision.
The pedestrian was taken to Stamford Hospital, where he was put into the intensive care unit with several cuts to his scalp, right eye and face.
Police said Terrell Culver, 43, of Rose Park Avenue, failed field sobriety tests taken at the scene and was charged with driving while under the influence of drugs or alcohol, second-degree assault with a motor vehicle while under the influence, leaving the scene of an accident, failing to avoid a collision with a pedestrian and failure to insure his car.

A 35-year-old Morrisville man is accused of striking a pedestrian early Friday morning in Bensalem, fleeing the scene and calling a relative who urged him to report his vehicle stolen, police said.

Cops are hunting a cyclist they say fled the scene last month after mowing down a 67-year-old woman as she walked across an Upper East Side bike lane.
Police released video Saturday of the man riding away after allegedly striking the woman as she crossed the lane at First Ave. and E. 87th St. on June 9.

“It’s just a tragic situation for such a young man to have lost his life,” Arcata Police Chief Tom Chapman said. “The charges indicate that the driver was intoxicated and fled the scene without stopping to render aid.”
